81 Beacon Street, a grand cooperative building overlooking the Public Garden, was designed in 1925 by J.D. Leland, of Brookline, Massachusetts. A student of architecture at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Leland was a purveyor of the Classical Revival and Colonial Revival styles of architecture. This elegant 11-story structure displays elements of both.
The building’s impressive entrance of carved limestone and French doors invites you into a brand-new, beautifully appointed lobby. The concierge – on duty seven days a week – is there to greet you and help you with your packages. There is also a separate service elevator and additional lower level storage.
The ten residences are floor-through units that feature breathtaking Public Garden views, oversized windows, fireplaces and direct elevator access.
