I have used Susan Cohen at Campion and Company since I first moved to Boston in 2007. Having relocated from the West Coast, she came highly recommended by a colleague. I can say with certainty the level of service provided and attention to my needs has not gone unnoticed by myself or the multiple friends I've referred to her since. When I was searching for my first property in the city, Susan was an expert at narrowing down the number of properties that met my criteria, and after looking at only three, I was surprised to find myself being comfortable enough to make an offer on our second day of looking which was accepted, and I didn't feel rushed in the least. Rather, having a competent agent has made me confidant that in my purchases, and I've bought another property with her assistance in the city since. She has always been available to answer my questions about the market in the city, and is still an invaluable source of information on all things real estate related.

I've always dreaded buying a home. I've bought a couple before my current home and frankly, I didn't like the process. Most often the Realtors I worked with showed me homes I didn't like and many I wouldn't consider living in. I wound up doing most of the work, getting little valuable advice or service, and settling for purchases I was not excited about. When the time came to sell them, the process was not much better and in some ways worse. The Realtor would generally try to price the home at a price-point where they would make the most money with the least amount of work, or so it seemed to me.


All that changed when we worked with Bill Gehan, my current Realtor, and as long as he's in the business, my Realtor for life. Bill took the time to understand exactly what we wanted to buy, and showed us many quality homes that he found. He gave us access to his powerful professional tools that truly made a difference in giving us valuable information. Since we were selling our old home and he was handling both transaction, he did wonders in making our place "show" in the best possible light, and not just with advice, but working with and coordinating the contractors and workers required. He was a pleasure to work with: patient, energetic, informed, pleasant and hard working. The complete opposite of any other Realtor I've worked with. The end result is that my wife and I now live in a beautiful home we love.

We are writing to express how happy and impressed we are with Bill Gehan and the job he did for us. To say he sold our condo in Boston quickly and for the price we wanted would be an understatement.

Bill went way above and beyond what we expected from him as a realtor. He told us the price we could sell our place for without making improvements. Then he listed small Â“upgrades we could invest in to get a higher price. A full-time general contractor couldn't have done a faster or better job for us. Bill got quotes from every craftsman, organized all the work, got it all done on budget and on time, and got our house on the market within 2 weeks. He took away all of the headaches we would have had if we'd coordinated the renovations ourselves. Most importantly, as a result of all the work Bill did, we quickly sold our condo for the price we wanted.

Bill's communication is outstanding. He called and emailed us at least once a day informing us of all progress. He introduced himself to all the neighbors that could be affected by construction or a sale and kept them informed.

After the first open house, we had 3 offers. Within the next week, we had 3 more and came to an agreement with a buyer. We netted exactly what we wanted and what Bill told us we would get.

This is our 3rd sale of a home, and never have we had such a pleasurable experience. Bill Gehan is savvy, personable, professional, and knows the market inside and out. We never could have sold our place at that price without him.

I recently purchased a condo in Back Bay and am writing to applaud the efforts of Bill Gehan. Rarely am I moved to write such a note as, I feel, many service providers are not customer focused. However, my experience with Bill deserves commendation.

During the past several years I have looked for a condo in Boston. It has been on-again, off-again depending on the markets and my availability. During that time I worked with several brokers. For the most part they were disappointments, acting more like key-keepers and providers of MLS listings than as trusted advisors.

About a year ago I met Bill, saw a property with him and made an offer. While I did not get the property, I was impressed by Bill's sincere interest in understanding the type of property I wanted. I abandoned my other brokers and started working with Bill.

He has several characteristics which make him an outstanding broker: genuine interest in his clients and their interests, always on availability and superb response time, strategic input on structuring offers based on his market knowledge, careful attention to detail and follow-up and above-and-beyond service provision. My business schedule is extremely hectic. Many times I gave Bill very short notice and limited time frames regarding my availability to see properties. Without exception, he rearranged his schedule to meet my needs. When I purchased my condo he was extraordinarily helpful throughout the process including: developing a strategy for making an offer, negotiating with the seller, working with my mortgage company and lawyer, assisting with the condo inspection, getting vendor estimates for some electrical and carpentry matters and rapidly dealing with the flurry of last minute issues that can scuttle a deal. Bill was even there when I closed, sitting with my lawyer and me, just in case he might be helpful.

I am happy to report that I am settling into my place. Bill has sent several emails to ensure that I am happy and offering his continued assistance, e.g., referrals to trusted contractors. In addition, recently, I came home to find a plant waiting in my hallway. It was a thank you from Bill.
