We are writing to express how happy and impressed we are with Bill Gehan and the job he did for us. To say he sold our condo in Boston quickly and for the price we wanted would be an understatement.

I recently purchased a condo in Back Bay and am writing to applaud the efforts of Bill Gehan. Rarely am I moved to write such a note as, I feel, many service providers are not customer focused. However, my experience with Bill deserves commendation.
 
During the past several years I have looked for a condo in Boston. It has been on-again, off-again depending on the markets and my availability. During that time I worked with several brokers. For the most part they were disappointments, acting more like key-keepers and providers of MLS listings than as trusted advisors.
 
About a year ago I met Bill, saw a property with him and made an offer. While I did not get the property, I was impressed by Bill’s sincere interest in understanding the type of property I wanted. I abandoned my other brokers and started working with Bill.
 
He has several characteristics which make him an outstanding broker: genuine interest in his clients and their interests, “always on” availability and superb response time, strategic input on structuring offers based on his market knowledge, careful attention to detail and follow-up and above-and-beyond service provision. In addition, he does it with a smile and ends his emails with “Please let me know if you need anything.”
 
My business schedule is extremely hectic. Many times I gave Bill very short notice and limited time frames regarding my availability to see properties. Without exception, he rearranged his schedule to meet my needs. When I purchased my condo he was extraordinarily helpful throughout the process including: developing a strategy for making an offer, negotiating with the seller, working with my mortgage company and lawyer, assisting with the condo inspection, getting vendor estimates for some electrical and carpentry matters and rapidly dealing with the flurry of last minute issues that can scuttle a deal. Bill was even there when I closed, sitting with my lawyer and me, just in case he might be helpful.
 
I am happy to report that I am settling into my place. Bill has sent several emails to ensure that I am happy and offering his continued assistance, e.g., referrals to trusted contractors. In addition, recently, I came home to find a plant waiting in my hallway. It was a “thank you” from Bill.

Kate quickly understood our tastes and saved us tons of time by highlighting the best listings and coordinating private showings and open house calendars. Kate and I were brought together in November of this past year when I sought to purchase my first home. As a busy physician in the Boston area, my work commitments made home buying seem overwhelming and stressful. She grew to really understand my perfect property concept and was always honest and direct with regards to feasibility and expectations. Given my hectic schedule, she always went out of her way to meet me and make dealings easier. As an example, when finding a suitable garage space for my new easement, she personally checked my car in each of the lot spaces on a Saturday while I was dealing with a busy intensive care unit call -- far beyond the expectations of our working relationship. She recommended my legal representation and home inspector, who both embodied professionalism and had my best interest in mind. Her energy and sincerity were unparalleled.
 
When and if the time to sell arises, there is no question that she would be representing my interests once again.
As a first-time home-buyer, I was initially daunted by the process of finding a condo that met my financial and personal objectives. But, with exceptional patience and clarity, Jeff ensured that I not only understood the process but found a home that resonated with my goals. 13 DAYS ON MARKET - Megan Kopman was absolutely amazing. She is not your typical realtor. Megan coordinated staging & improvements before the first open house and professional photographs -- and met painters, a rug guy, and electricians at my condo for me. Megan arranged everything in the transaction so that I sold for the price I wanted and so that I sold in time to move to the West Coast. She worked with me to hire a staging crew and turned my place overnight into a great looking condo that a lot of potential Buyers really liked. I barely lifted a finger. Her communication throughout the sale was seamless. I would say to anyone that you will not be disappointed if you use Megan.
