Why Work With Us?

Here's what our satisfied customers are saying about us:

We are writing to express how happy and impressed we are with Bill Gehan and the job he did for us. To say he sold our condo in Boston quickly and for the price we wanted would be an understatement.
Bill went way above and beyond what we expected from him as a realtor. He told us the price we could sell our place for without making improvements. Then he listed small “upgrades” we could invest in to get a higher price. A full-time general contractor couldn't have done a faster or better job for us. Bill got quotes from every craftsman, organized all the work, got it all done on budget and on time, and got our house on the market within 2 weeks. He took away all of the headaches we would have had if we'd coordinated the renovations ourselves. Most importantly, as a result of all the work Bill did, we quickly sold our condo for the price we wanted.
Bill’s communication is outstanding. He called and emailed us at least once a day informing us of all progress. He introduced himself to all the neighbors that could be affected by construction or a sale and kept them informed.
After the first open house, we had 3 offers. Within the next week, we had 3 more and came to an agreement with a buyer. We netted exactly what we wanted and what Bill told us we would get.
This is our 3rd sale of a home, and never have we had such a pleasurable experience. Bill Gehan is savvy, personable, professional, and knows the market inside and out. We never could have sold our place at that price without him.
We interviewed several of the top local realtors. Bill stood out in his preparation and enthusiasm, which is why we chose him. Now that we've completed the process of selling our home with Bill, we realize that there is no comparison between Bill and the other top local realtors. He is by far the best realtor we have ever worked with.
I recently purchased a condo in Back Bay and am writing to applaud the efforts of Bill Gehan. Rarely am I moved to write such a note as, I feel, many service providers are not customer focused. However, my experience with Bill deserves commendation.
During the past several years I have looked for a condo in Boston. It has been on-again, off-again depending on the markets and my availability. During that time I worked with several brokers. For the most part they were disappointments, acting more like key-keepers and providers of MLS listings than as trusted advisors.
About a year ago I met Bill, saw a property with him and made an offer. While I did not get the property, I was impressed by Bill’s sincere interest in understanding the type of property I wanted. I abandoned my other brokers and started working with Bill.
He has several characteristics which make him an outstanding broker: genuine interest in his clients and their interests, “always on” availability and superb response time, strategic input on structuring offers based on his market knowledge, careful attention to detail and follow-up and above-and-beyond service provision. In addition, he does it with a smile and ends his emails with “Please let me know if you need anything.”
My business schedule is extremely hectic. Many times I gave Bill very short notice and limited time frames regarding my availability to see properties. Without exception, he rearranged his schedule to meet my needs. When I purchased my condo he was extraordinarily helpful throughout the process including: developing a strategy for making an offer, negotiating with the seller, working with my mortgage company and lawyer, assisting with the condo inspection, getting vendor estimates for some electrical and carpentry matters and rapidly dealing with the flurry of last minute issues that can scuttle a deal. Bill was even there when I closed, sitting with my lawyer and me, just in case he might be helpful.
I am happy to report that I am settling into my place. Bill has sent several emails to ensure that I am happy and offering his continued assistance, e.g., referrals to trusted contractors. In addition, recently, I came home to find a plant waiting in my hallway. It was a “thank you” from Bill.
These few examples provide a sense of Bill’s dedication and commitment to his clients. I strongly recommend him to anyone buying or selling property.
We relocated from New York in May 2011. Former residents of the Boston area, we aimed for a condo purchase along the Red Line on an aggressive timeline. We were successful largely due to the tireless efforts and great advice of our real estate agent, Kate Hazelton. With her guidance, we learned the ins-and-outs of Red Line neighborhoods and became experts in local pricing variations. Kate quickly understood our tastes and saved us tons of time by highlighting the best listings and coordinating private showings and open house calendars. In the end, we found ourselves in a multiple-offer scenario on the best condo we had seen all summer. Kate's bidding and negotiating savvy were instrumental in navigating a very challenging situation and emerging on top. We are very satisfied clients and we’ll be using our real estate agent again when the time comes to sell.
I have moved ten times and he is by far the best realtor I have ever worked with.
Kate and I were brought together in November of this past year when I sought to purchase my first home. As a busy physician in the Boston area, my work commitments made home buying seem overwhelming and stressful. From our first visit, Kate was sincere and friendly, most interested in getting to know me and my history to further understand my needs as a first time buyer. She was calm and collected, always exhibiting a strong sense of professionalism. I must disclose that I had a very specific concept in mind for my first home, as I had lived in the city for several years. I wanted something modern, lofted and with clean lines in or around the city of Boston. We ended up finding my perfect property, but not without some road blocks along the way. Now a few weeks post-closing, I've had a chance to reflect on the entire process and I felt it appropriate to write about my experience working with Kate.
While the home buying process wasn't flawless, working with Kate was one of the best experiences. She remained positive and collected throughout and was always organized and confidently prepared at our meetings and dealings. She grew to really understand my perfect property concept and was always honest and direct with regards to feasibility and expectations. Given my hectic schedule, she always went out of her way to meet me and make dealings easier. As an example, when finding a suitable garage space for my new easement, she personally checked my car in each of the lot spaces on a Saturday while I was dealing with a busy intensive care unit call -- far beyond the expectations of our working relationship. She recommended my legal representation and home inspector, who both embodied professionalism and had my best interest in mind. Her energy and sincerity were unparalleled.
When and if the time to sell arises, there is no question that she would be representing my interests once again.
As a first-time home-buyer, I was initially daunted by the process of finding a condo that met my financial and personal objectives. But, with exceptional patience and clarity, Jeff ensured that I not only understood the process but found a home that resonated with my goals. Customer satisfaction is clearly of paramount importance to Jeff, as he made certain that I was completely comfortable with my final decision before moving ahead. I couldn’t be happier with the choice I made, in a home–and in a real estate agent. I give Jeff my highest recommendation.
Jeff assisted me with the purchase of a condominium in the South End. He proved to be an invaluable source of knowledge about the Back Bay and South End markets and was instrumental in getting the deal closed. It was a difficult negotiation, at times, but Jeff’s outstanding patience, personality and style were the key ingredients that made all of the difference. A job very well done and my highest recommendations!
Due to my international assignments I consider Jeffrey a very important person for all my real state subjects. Jeff´s deep knowledge about the Boston market and price trends make me feel sure about my decisions. Jeff high integrity creates a trust which is key for a long distance business relation.

13 DAYS ON MARKET - Megan Kopman was absolutely amazing. She is not your typical realtor. Megan coordinated staging & improvements before the first open house and professional photographs -- and met painters, a rug guy, and electricians at my condo for me. Megan arranged everything in the transaction so that I sold for the price I wanted and so that I sold in time to move to the West Coast. She worked with me to hire a staging crew and turned my place overnight into a great looking condo that a lot of potential Buyers really liked. I barely lifted a finger. Her communication throughout the sale was seamless. I would say to anyone that you will not be disappointed if you use Megan. She goes above and beyond what realtors I have used in the past ordinarily do. Megan understood the business/financial side of it for me - I appreciated that business savvy and the honest transaction advice. She doesn't miss a beat. All business negotiations were handled with the utmost professionalism and protection for me, the Seller. Megan took the time to make sure no detail was missed. Whatever helped to make things convenient for me, she did it. The end result was exactly what I wanted.
